Toronto based artist, Cruz, left the world of commercial photography to create deeply personal pieces as a form of catharsis. Using mediums from polaroid, to mixed media, and cyanotype, she delves into emotions and situations that ultimately create intimate, relatable pieces. Her work in Re:memory revisits photographs taken during the very difficult time of pandemic lockdowns and restrictions. Combined with poems she has written herself, the cyanotypes are left open-ended, inviting individual interpretation.
