Kahame Msiska

Kahame immigrated to Canada from his native Zambia to study engineering and play basketball at the University of Windsor. While photographing his basketball teammates and behind the scenes moments, he began to find his aesthetic and conceptual voice. Leaning on his cultural upbringing, as well as the internal struggle of living outside of his homeland, Msiska beautifully depicts the turmoil and freedom many immigrants feel. His characteristic editorial style portrays themes of loneliness, introspection, freedom, and groundedness.
